Getting Started Tips

  • Wear comfortable, layered clothing that lets you move easily

  • Yoga is best practiced barefoot or with grippy yoga socks

  • Turn off your phone before class to minimize distractions

  • Let your teacher know if you have injuries or health concerns

  • Stretching may feel challenging but should never be painful — find your “sweet spot” in each pose

  • For Hot Yoga classes, bring your own mat and towels

  • Bring water and consider a change of clothes, especially in colder months

  • If you plan to shower, bring flip-flops, towels, and a bag for your sweaty clothes
