Meditation in Motion

QiGong & Tai Chi Workshop with Andrea Parks

QiGong consists of a variety of Chinese therapeutic exercises that have been around for at least 2.500 years. QiGong looks like Tai Chi but is generally easier to do. Some people call it Chinese Yoga.

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that is most often practiced as a gentle form of exercise and meditation in motion.

Both can help improve balance and coordination, increase flexibility, strengthen core and lower body muscles and help manage stress. There is compelling evidence that they can strengthen the immune system and improve cardiovascular heath too. In this half day workshop you will be introduced to foundational principles of Qi/Chi along with some basic movements. Andrea Parks has been teaching yoga for 12years and has been a student of Pedram Shojai, aka: The Urban Monk and completed his QiGong teacher training in 2018.

She's excited to share this gentle practice with her community.
